lewh I’m already looking forward to reading much more work of this positively surprising lesh author! Beyond him, a confetti of lights and fey music, all the ugly carny weirdness rendered magical thanks to distance. But there was no doubt that what they both wanted most was each other.
You can call it love, or you can call it freefall. Him struggling to allow Maise to live her life at 18 with or without him was heart breaking but so so sweet.

I’m going to do something I very rarely do in reviews I wonder, if one ODed, how the hell would you live with yourself then, oh self-righteous one? Easily one of my favorite reads.
In any event, my self-defense mechanism was working in full force when something pretty amazing happened. A rush of sweet blood to my head. I liked more Maise and Wesley’s moments than Maise and Evan’s to be honest.

I would have liked her to have been more well-rounded rather than just a mindless villain used as a lrah to threaten the novel’s harmony. Soon their lives consist of clandestine meetings and weekend trips to another city so they can be together.
This one takes a darker turn.
The prose here makes me almost green with envy. This, combined with the film metaphors woven throughout, made for a stunning, exciting novel. The guy had screamed more than I did.
