John rated it really liked it Aug 31, The Global Liberty Community. He carried on a long correspondence with Mises himself, checking his education from graduate school against Mises’s views. Circulating capital is money needed for purchase of raw materials, wages, etc. I intend to go back to it now and again because within it’s pages are the fundamentals of the Austrian School. Truly, even after a half century, the achievement of this book becomes clearer.
This was specially noticed in the chapter on International Trade and every time the author delved for a while in the history of ideas. What I liked most about the book was that each chapter is an essay that does not require previous knowledge.
It reads as fresh as the day it came off the press. The first was the was the discovery that what had been taken for laws presumably deducible from the observation of economic phenomena in a limited geographical area England and France in particularand about which there was considerable disagreement among the adherents of the classical school, were not really laws at all, but mere regularities that, when treated as infallible laws, often failed in their application.
