Biopac can communicate with Ethernet connection. Fill out the user survey to give us feedback and have input on new features. That was the only way for hiopac to have access to their signals “on-line”.

Biopac input to Presentation. Biopac to a computer with Matlab and Presentation that presents stimulus. You could immediately change a visual stimulus based on what you get.

Jonathan Berrebi That could be my feedback to participants. But, that means that I need to play the sound out loud, no? Jonathan, how did you use the scanner signal? Not really optimal because I will get no info on how much HR has changed.

Peter Pebler I would like to get heart rate information from Biopac to Presentation. I am waiting for a reply from Biopac on the “communicating to other system issue” I don’t ,anual he misunderstood me but the answer surprised me to. I got this answer from Biopac: What software did you use hoping for presentation?

If you can, I suppose you could calculate the frequency of the sinwave comming in and use that value to change the color of the display.

manuap I could trigger when HR goes up and when it goes down. So, my question is: With a parallel or serial input port? Otherwise, it would depend on the other interfacing capabilities of Biopac, with which I’m not familiar.

If MatLab can do this, you could consider using the Matlab extension, but I’m not sure what the timing of that would be like.

But, the software needed to transmit HR through Ethernet from Biopac to another computer is expensive. However, this may be beyond the capabilities of many users. I mp15 at the AcqKnowledge manual here http: What is the maximum frequency that these inputs can come in?

Thanks for your help. I might go for a simple triggering through the printer cable instead. You can avoid this box by logging in before posting. Then it’s no solution for me because I just need the signal to be transmitted to the computer without participants hearing it. MP – show input values – sound.

I am doing the same task in the scanner later.

The CD includes dll files for C ,matlab, etc. Did you present stimuli at the same time or was it just a feedback display? Would that be possible to use the dll for matlab toguether with the matlab interface for Presentation?

Kristin Geraci Presentation can record from a microphone, but it does not analyze the wavefiles at all, or do anything with them during runtime other than save biolac.

This appears to just be a way to display certain data being measured by Biopac on the screen in the AcqKnowledge software.

And, I would like to see the signal for calibration before I start the experiment I guess I could use Matlab to plot it though. I do program in Matlab but I would prefer not to do the heart ml150 analysis algorithm by myself.

Therefore, I think they misunderstood m;150 question – they probably thought you just wanted to view the heart rate value in real time, not communicate that value to another system which will change the stimulus display conditionally. I was unable to find any reference to Biopac features to transmit information TO other systems.

Thank you for your help! If not, how could i make it possible? Is there a possibility to take this as input to presentation online and use that info as an integer? You should tell them that you want to transmit the heart rate information to another system in order to dynamically change a stimulus display, and ask them if they have any capabilities for that.
