This afternoon Ingrid and I went to the Festival of Flowers at Chichester Cathedral. I’ve posted before how beautiful Chichester and its cathedral can be on a sunny summer afternoon. The flower festival gave a delightful scent to the cathedral as well as vibrant colours and a sense of life. The theme was “The Artist’s Palette” and there were some very inventive reconstructions of famous paintings in floral form. It’s not my cup of tea, but it’s hard to deny the talent on display. I even managed to make it out without succumbing to hayfaver!
